The Winfield Fire Protection District is responsible for protecting and preserving the lives and property of the citizens of Winfield, and surrounding unincorporated Dupage County, from fire and to assist them in emergency situations. We offer classes, programs, and safety tips to educate the public, and keep our residents safe.

Part-Time Firefighter/Paramedic Employment Opportunity

The Winfield Fire Protection District Board is accepting applications for part-time firefighter/paramedics.

Application requirements:  

  • At least 21 years of age
  • Certified Firefighter II or Certified Basic Operations Firefighter
  • Licensed EMT-P through the Illinois Department of Public Health
  • U.S. citizen or meet requirements of Illinois Human Rights Act for citizenship status
  • Valid driver’s license

Current hourly rate is $19.00/hr.  Completed applications are to be returned, with copies of the required certifications/licenses, to the Winfield Fire Protection District, 27W530 Highlake Road, Winfield, IL 60190.

Part-Time Firefighter/Paramedic Application

Candidate packets, including nomination papers for the Consolidated Election of 4/2/19, are now available for the position of Winfield Fire District Trustee. Packets can be picked up at Station 31 located at 27W530 Highlake Road, Winfield, IL, between the hours of 8:30 am and 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday. Nomination papers are to be filed at Station 31 between December 10 through December 17, 2018, Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
